First Solar - North Office Building

First Solar was founded by well-known inventor, Harold A. McMaster, and has grown into a world-leading provider of advanced thin film photovoltaic solar panels. Visitors and staff enter First Solar's U.S.-based manufacturing facility through a 2 1/2 story glass atrium, where access to the office space is controlled and secured. An open office concept is highlighted with technologically advanced group teaming areas. Privacy is ensured for personnel needs through soundproof phone/work pods, while teamwork is enhanced as coffee cups are refilled at gathering stations centrally located on each level. The two-story precast concrete panel and glazed curtain wall office is the entry point for a growing complex of First Solar technical research and production facilities. Note that First Solar's strict privacy policies forbid photography on their premises. Therefore, we present this completed project with renderings, which were provided to our client during the design process.
