The foundation for sustainable success at the new Marshall Elementary School is achieved by purposeful building layout. Using site-specific orientation, southern sun exposure is maximized and controlled, optimizing energy performance throughout the building. Within the school's modern design, natural lighting provides a comfortable learning environment capable of inspiring young minds. The importance of education and community interaction is embodied in the layout of the school with the inclusion of a Boys and Girls Club and the opportunity to use designated areas of the new school beyond school hours. The two-story reading room adds interest to the delight of learning. Outside, the new entry plaza provides a fresh focal point for the community to interact with its youth.
