The Cathedral for the Toledo Catholic Diocese is located in the Historic Old West End of Toledo and is registered with the National Historic Trust. The campus originated in 1914 with the construction of the first Central Catholic High School followed by the construction of the Cathedral. The school is part of the Central City Ministries currently serving as an elementary school. The four-story school building's masonry façade has undergone a full masonry restoration. All exterior windows have been replaced with new energy efficient windows, while maintaining the historical character of the building. The main entrance to the building was completely rebuilt matching the original building design. Restoration included the return of clay tile roofs to areas where previously removed, and the reconditioning of ventilation chimneys topped with copper caps matching the original building design in every detail. The campus parking was redeveloped and enclosed with a stone and wrought iron fence.
