The public enters the building through a secure lobby to access the public safety administrative area. The fire/EMS crews are provided spacious and home-like living quarters including individual dormitory space. The training room is a contemporary adult classroom setting for both police and fire/EMS. The apparatus room is a 5 bay drive-through design with an attached functioning hose tower. Special features accommodate the department's water rescue team, hazardous materials response, and EMS crews including a strong emphasis on safety and health of staff.
